A litle about mondi
Our history began in 1958 when direct sales to the home were
still a common practice and sometimes the only way consumers
could see quality products. In the ensuing years as the family
grew our business focus was concentrated on opening juvenile retail stores.
In 1990 we began moving in a new direction that gave us the
opportunity to explore another facet of the industry, and we
became involved with manufacturing and importing. We were
one of the first to import cribs from Italy for the US and
Canadian markets. With an experienced eye developed over
the years for furniture style and construction we created many
new and unique designs, two of which led to US patents.
With the new millennium came new opportunities and in 2000
MONDI was born. With over 100 years of experience between
its principals, MONDI continues to innovate with safety, style
and function foremost in our minds. The result is furniture that
will fit your needs and hopefully exceed your expectations with
value and durability from our family to yours.
Baby Furniture was our specialty 45 years ago and remains our specialty today.

| About VOX |
VOX Industries is a consortium of fine factories, each of which plays a crucial roll in the
process of furniture manufacturing. The furniture manufacturing operations occupy
more than 400,000 square feet of space, including space for VOX's own Saww Mills
and processing equipment.
VOX's comprehensive utilization of an entire unit of timer permits the company to maximize
it's resources, enhancing economy optimizing materials. Wood byproducts generated
during the production process are completely extracted and used as fuel materials for
indoor heating systems. Or, may be sold for the production of particle boards.
VOX already has completed a full regimen of internal audits for preparation of ISO 9001, and
expects to be awarded certification in the near future.
VOX also meets the stringent safety standards of the Consumer Products Safety Commission
and other international governing bodies throughout Europe, such as the British Standards
Institute (England), TUV-Geprufte Sicherheit (Germany), and Laboratoire National
D'essais (France).
Journey
It begins out in the forest, wherethe timber is carefully cultivated fo rthe finest qualities
needed for furniture production. There VOX's experts evaluate the quality of raw wood in the still
growing tree. These logs are brought back to our sawmills, where the wood is screened
and then sawn to ensure a knot-free, well developed pattern. This homogenous, hand
selected timber undergoes a highly refined process of seasoning and drying in VOX's
exclusive chambers. Here the maximum humidity level is strictly maintained between
8 and 10 percent, even though the industry standard is 12 percent. After an established
period of time the wood is removed for re-examination. Sawing and processing of wood
in it's own sawmills gives VOX Industries it's independence of other wood suppliers and
total quality control.
Then, the process of finishing begins. The wood is sanded and carefully, skilled craftsmen
shape each piece. The wood is machine carved for larger more uniform sections and
hand carved to capture individual intricate detailing.
Finally, the wood is sealed with several coats of protective stain, each time undergoing
additional seasoning in our drying chambers. The most uniform pieces, with a deep patina,
are selected for furniture assembly. The best possible components, with barely any
design imperfections, are used exclusively om VOX furniture for children. The result is
furniture that exceeds our costomers' expectations. We hope to exceed yours. |
